What you NEED to know before becoming an Architect

This is a list I have been working on for a while now and I want to do my bit sharing all I’ve learned so far when it comes to the field of architecture specifically landscape architecture. This is in no way a definitive list so take this as general advice if you are thinking of architecture as a career path.   1.        Get used to talking. I never realised how much I would need to communicate my ideas verbally, weather you’re meeting a client and need to sell an idea, or you need to justify your work to a colleague or boss you’ll need to be able to communicate with confidence to get used to talking.     2.        Prepare to listen and be open to criticism. This somewhat follows on from communicating in that it is also important to listen. Its your job to make your client happy so you need to listen to their needs.
